A Taste of the North: Jocab’s Cagayan Valley’s Pride Delivers Authentic Flavors to Your Doorstep

Missing the distinct, savory flavors of Northern Luzon? Look no further than Jocab’s Cagayan Valley’s Pride, a restaurant that truly lives up to its name by bringing the authentic taste of Cagayan cuisine right to your table, even in the bustling south. My recent order from them was a delightful journey, proving that distance is no barrier when it comes to experiencing genuine regional fare.

I opted for a few of their combo-style meals, which come conveniently packaged in a bento serving – perfect for a quick, satisfying, and incredibly affordable meal. The first, a Pancit Cabagan with Pork Tocino & Rice and Lechon Kawali for ₱315, was a feast in itself. The Pancit Cabagan was everything it should be: dark, saucy, and brimming with flavor, each strand of fresh miki noodle absorbing the rich broth. Paired with the sweet and savory pork tocino, crispy lechon kawali, and a comforting serving of rice, it was a truly satisfying combination.

Next, I tried the Pancit Cabagan with Feliz Fried Chicken & Rice for ₱240. The pancit again shone, its robust flavors complementing the well-seasoned fried chicken. It’s a testament to Jocab’s ability to create tasty and affordable combo-style meals that don’t compromise on authenticity. To complete the spread, I also added a side of their Dinuguan for ₱240, a classic Filipino savory stew that was rich, tangy, and perfectly executed.

What truly struck me about the entire experience was how the taste and feel of the food genuinely transported me to the North. Jocab’s has successfully captured the essence of Cagayan Valley’s culinary heritage, particularly with their authentic Pancit Batil Patong and Pancit Cabagan. Each bite felt like a direct connection to the regional specialties I’ve come to love.

They serve PANCIT BATIL PATONG at PANCIT CABAGAN in various sizes, including bilao options suitable for groups, ensuring that diners can experience the dish as it’s meant to be enjoyed—shared among family and friends.

Jocab’s has established branches in various locations, including:

  • Makati City: Located on JP Rizal Avenue, this branch offers delivery services through Foodpanda and GrabFood.
  • Quezon City: Situated on Pinatubo Street in Cubao, this branch also provides delivery options via Foodpanda and GrabFood.
  • Calamba City: This branch serves the Laguna area, offering local residents a taste of Cagayan Valley’s noodle specialties.

If you’re craving a genuine taste of Northern Luzon, particularly the iconic noodle dishes, Jocab’s Cagayan Valley’s Pride is a must-try. Their dedication to authentic flavors, combined with convenient and affordable meal options, makes them a standout choice for anyone looking to explore the rich culinary landscape of the Philippines.
