This year’s edition of the much-anticipated annual event reaffirmed the company’s unwavering commitment to nurturing empowered leaders and fostering a culture of synergy across its nationwide operations.
Rooted in the Filipino word buklod, meaning “that which unites,” Bukluran has become a cornerstone of Cebuana Lhuillier’s leadership culture. More than a gathering, it is a transformative experience where managers from across the country come together to strengthen bonds, align visions, and renew their leadership purpose. As Cebuana Lhuillier President and CEO Jean Henri Lhuillier shared, “Bukluran is where we come together not just as colleagues, but as one Cebuana family—united in purpose, driven by passion, and inspired to lead with heart.”
Bukluran 2025 introduced a fresh and exhilarating format with the launch of the CebuanAmazing Race, a Cebuana-inspired twist on the classic team challenge. Aligned with the company’s Culture Drive campaign, Amazing Ka Cebuana, this year’s theme sparked cross-functional collaboration while celebrating the diverse strengths of the organization’s leaders. The event, held at Cala Laiya in San Juan, Batangas, ran in six batches from May 20 to June 17, 2025, and welcomed around 300 participants, including leaders from across the company’s groups, divisions, and departments.
Anchored on the framework of Better Mindset, Better Relationship, and Better Team, the program placed a special focus on understanding Social Styles to enhance interpersonal dynamics. Through high-impact activities, participants learned to navigate different personality types and leadership approaches—key skills in today’s fast-paced, people-driven business landscape. The race format further challenged teams to think creatively, communicate effectively, and collaborate under pressure.
A key highlight of the event was the expert facilitation by iLeap Consulting, whose engaging team-building modules brought the program’s objectives to life. Their sessions, combined with messages of support and encouragement from Cebuana Lhuillier’s Management Committee, helped build an atmosphere of motivation, alignment, and trust.
