MANILA, Philippines — The National Housing Authority (NHA) provided financial assistance to 349 families affected by a fire in Barangay 20, Zone 2, Parola, Tondo, Manila. The aid came under its Emergency Housing Assistance Program (EHAP) and marks a vital step toward helping fire-stricken families rebuild their lives.
How the Assistance Was Distributed
The NHA distributed the assistance on October 20, 2026, at the Leonardo B. Fugoso Sports Complex, under the directive of NHA General Manager Joeben Tai. Personnel from the NHA NCR-West Sector supervised the distribution. As a result, the affected families received support after the devastating incident.
In addition, the EHAP lets the NHA provide emergency financial assistance to families affected by disasters and calamities. This helps them address immediate housing needs and take the first steps toward recovery.
For the 349 beneficiary families, the assistance offers an opportunity to begin rebuilding what was lost. It also moves them toward a more secure future.

Support Beyond Immediate Relief
The initiative underscores the NHA’s continuing commitment to disaster response and housing assistance. However, recovery goes beyond providing immediate relief. It also means helping affected communities regain stability, rebuild their homes, and restore hope.
Overall, the NHA reaffirms its mission through the Emergency Housing Assistance Program. It aims to help Filipino families rise from disaster and move toward safer, more secure homes and a better future.
