Celebrating 25 Years on the Philippine Stock Exchange
The global financial services company marked the 25th anniversary of its listing on the Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE) with a ceremonial ringing of the opening bell. The event highlighted its long-standing presence and continued commitment to the country.

Top executives from the company’s Asia leadership team attended the celebration. Among them were Manjit Singh, President of Sun Life Asia; David Broom, Chief Client and Distribution Officer; Benedict Sison, CEO and Country Head in the Philippines; JJ Moreno, President of Sun Life of Canada (Philippines), Inc.; and Michael Enriquez, President of the Investment Management and Trust Corporation.
Key officials from the PSE also joined the event. These included Ramon Monzon, President and CEO; Atty. Roel Refran, Chief Operating Officer; Atty. Marigel Baniqued-Garcia, Issuer Regulation Division Head; and Atty. Veronica Del Rosario, General Counsel.

Singh shared the meaning behind the celebration. He noted that the company has now served the Philippines for 130 years. He recalled its beginnings in a small Canadian town and emphasized how its purpose—helping Clients achieve financial security—has guided its growth.
Monzon also spoke about the company’s journey. He said its 25 years in the local stock market reflect a strong commitment to Clients and stakeholders. He wished the organization continued success as a publicly listed company.

At exactly 9:30 AM, Singh and Monzon rang the PSE’s bells to open the trading day. The moment marked both tradition and achievement.
