DOLE Sustains Livelihood Support Through TUPAD Tuloy Pasada Program

MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), in partnership with the Department of Transportation (DOTr), continues to implement the TUPAD Tuloy Pasada Program to support drivers and transport workers amid rising fuel costs. A driver-beneficiary expressed gratitude for the program, noting that the continued operations enable them to earn a stable income while providing essential transport services to the public despite daily challenges. The initiative aims to augment the income of drivers and other workers in the transport sector who have been affected by increasing fuel prices, ensuring the continuity of public transportation services. For its initial rollout, beneficiaries were identified by the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) and endorsed to DOLE for verification, profiling, and orientation. Government agencies continue to coordinate closely for the effective nationwide implementation of the program. The TUPAD Tuloy Pasada Program forms part of the government’s broader efforts to safeguard livelihoods and maintain reliable public transport services across the country.
